At LegacyNex, Companion Stories began with a simple idea:

Companion Stories were created to change that.
What Are Companion Stories?
Companion Stories are professionally written narratives that capture the life, personality, and impact of a beloved animal.
They go beyond memory.
They articulate:
Who the animal is
How they move through the world
The role they’ve played in someone’s life
Each story is thoughtfully guided, written, and refined—resulting in a piece that can be returned to over time.
Not simply as a remembrance, but as a reflection of a relationship that mattered.
Introducing Our Partnership with Humane Canada
We are proud to share a meaningful partnership between LegacyNex and Humane Canada.
Humane Canada is the federation of SPCAs and humane societies across the country, representing a collective commitment to animal welfare, protection, and advocacy.
Through this partnership, Companion Stories now extend beyond individual preservation.
They become part of a broader contribution.
When a Companion Story is created through Humane Canada, 10% of each project supports their work across Canada—helping to protect, care for, and advocate for animals nationwide.
